Individuals experiencing homelessness in Mobile and Baldwin counties.
The timeline for receiving housing varies and is not swift.
Individuals must meet HUD’s definition of homelessness, which entails “a person lacking a stable, regular, and sufficient nighttime residence.”
Category 1: Literally homeless. Individuals and families who lack a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence, which includes; place not meant for human habitation, living in a shelter or hotel, or exiting an institution.
 
Category 2: Individuals/families who will imminently (within 14 days) lose their primary nighttime residence.
 
Category 3: Unaccompanied youth (under 25 years of age) or families with children/youth who meet the homeless definition under another federal statute.
 
Category 4: Fleeing/attempting to flee domestic violence or any other dangerou or life-threatening situation.
 Clean clothing, non-perishable food items, personal care products, sleeping bags and tarps.
Unemployment, lack of affordable housing, substance abuse, mental illness and domestic violence.

Get help with housing or other essential services and resources by completing and submitting the Coordinated Entry Pre-Screen form.

You can also drop your form off at our Downtown Office located at 279 N. Washington Avenue, Mobile, AL 36603 Building B. You will be contacted within 48 business hours to discuss program eligibility.
